That answer is just as valuable: you go back to your dentist with confidence instead of doubt. Other times the plan includes work that can wait, or a more conservative option nobody mentioned. You deserve to know which one you are holding.
When a second opinion is worth your time
Not every filling needs a second look. These situations do:
- A plan quoted in the thousands, especially full-mouth work, multiple crowns, or implants
- You were told a tooth cannot be saved and must come out
- A “deep cleaning” or gum surgery recommendation that surprised you
- The plan grew every visit, and you have started to wonder why

What the free visit includes
An exam with Dr. Dawood, a review of the treatment plan you bring, and a straight answer, with your X-rays up on the screen in front of both of you. If you have recent X-rays from the other office, request a copy before you come; every office is required to share them with you, and they usually email them the same day. If you cannot get them, call us at 480-331-4955 and we will tell you what to do; we will always tell you before anything has a cost.
What happens after
You leave with a written version of what she found. If your original plan was right, we will tell you to go do it, at that office if you like them. If there is a better path, you will see the difference item by item, with honest pricing for anything we would do here. Either way the decision stays yours, made with two professional opinions instead of one.
