Glisten Dental Studio in Gilbert works with Cigna Dental PPO and Cigna DHMO plans. Those two are not the same product, and the difference decides how you get care. With the PPO you can see us directly and use your in-network discount. With the DHMO you are usually assigned to a primary dental office, so the first step is a quick call to make sure your plan is set up to be seen here. We check that for you before you book.

How Cigna benefits generally work
Cigna PPO plans usually cover preventive visits like cleanings and exams at the highest level, then pay a set percentage toward basic and major treatment up to a yearly maximum. Many Cigna plans also include a separate lifetime orthodontic benefit, which matters if Invisalign is on your mind. If that is you, start with our Invisalign page and we will apply any ortho benefit you carry.
Direct billing and free verification
We submit your Cigna claim and bill Cigna directly. You pay only your portion at the visit. A free benefit check comes first, so you know your numbers before treatment. Call 480-331-4955 to verify your Cigna coverage.
Common questions
Do I need a referral? On a PPO plan, no. On a DHMO you may need us listed as your dental office first. We will tell you which one you have.
Uninsured family member? Ask about the Glisten Membership Plan for anyone at home without coverage.
Using your Cigna plan at the first visit
Bring your Cigna card and a photo ID to your first appointment, or read the member ID to us over the phone beforehand so verification is done before you arrive. If you are due for a cleaning, we can often complete your covered preventive visit the same day once benefits are confirmed. From there, any recommended treatment comes with a written estimate that separates what Cigna pays from what you owe, so nothing about the cost is a surprise.
