Accessibility Statement — Glisten Dental Studio

Effective date: April 24, 2026. Last updated: April 24, 2026.

Glisten Dental Studio is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for all visitors and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Our commitment

We aim to meet or exceed the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for digital accessibility.

Accessibility is a process, not a one-time achievement. We actively work to identify and correct accessibility barriers as part of ongoing website maintenance.

What we do to support accessibility

  • Semantic HTML. Our pages use proper heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3), meaningful link text, and landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer) so screen readers can navigate effectively.
  • Alt text for images. Images conveying meaningful information include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked as such so screen readers can skip them.
  • Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements (links, buttons, forms) can be operated with a keyboard without requiring a mouse.
  • Color contrast. Text and background color combinations meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
  • Focus indicators. Visible focus indicators appear when navigating with the keyboard so users always know where they are on the page.
  • Form labels. All form fields have associated labels that screen readers can announce.
  • Descriptive link text. Links describe their destination rather than using “click here” or “read more” generically.
  • No time-limited actions. Our forms and pages do not impose time limits that would make them inaccessible to users who need more time.
  • Responsive design. The site adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200% without loss of functionality.
  • Readable typography. We use clear fonts, adequate font sizes, and appropriate line spacing for readability.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts to be comprehensive, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Areas we are actively working to improve:

  • Embedded third-party content. Some embedded content (Google Maps, video players, appointment scheduling widgets) may have limited accessibility that we cannot directly control. We work with service providers to request accessibility improvements.
  • Older blog posts and archive content. Some older content may not fully meet current accessibility standards. We update content as we review it and invite user feedback on specific pages.
  • PDF documents. Some older PDF documents on the site may not be fully accessible. We provide alternative formats on request.

Compatible browsers and assistive technology

We design for compatibility with current versions of common assistive technologies including:

  • Screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software (Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Voice Control)
  • Keyboard-only navigation

The website is tested and functions with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktop and mobile platforms. Older browser versions may display the site acceptably but are not explicitly tested.

How to report accessibility barriers

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website, please let us know. Your feedback helps us improve.

When reporting an issue, please include:

  • The specific URL (web address) of the page where you experienced the issue
  • A description of what you were trying to do
  • What happened (or didn’t happen) that made the task difficult
  • What assistive technology (if any) you were using
  • Your contact information so we can follow up and let you know when the issue is resolved

Contact us through any of the following:

By phone: 480-331-4955
By email: through our contact page
In person: at our office — 4365 E Pecos Rd Ste 127, Gilbert, AZ 85295

We aim to respond to accessibility reports within 2 business days and resolve verified barriers within 30 days when feasible. Complex issues may take longer; we will keep you informed of progress.

Alternative access to services

If any part of our website prevents you from accessing information or services you need, we will provide alternative access. Call our office at 480-331-4955 and our team will:

  • Provide information by phone, email, or in-person visit
  • Complete appointment scheduling by phone rather than through the web form
  • Share written materials in alternative formats (large print, accessible PDF)
  • Accommodate specific accessibility needs at your visit to the practice

No patient should be prevented from receiving care because of a website accessibility barrier. We will work to make accommodations.

Physical accessibility of the office

Our dental office meets accessibility requirements for physical premises. This includes:

  • Accessible parking
  • Step-free entry or ramp access
  • Accessible restroom
  • Accessible treatment areas

If you have specific physical accessibility needs for your visit, please mention them when scheduling so we can prepare appropriately.

Ongoing review and improvement

We conduct periodic accessibility reviews of the website using both automated tools and manual evaluation including testing with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation. Corrections and improvements are part of ongoing site maintenance.

This Accessibility Statement is reviewed and updated when the website undergoes significant changes or when we become aware of new accessibility requirements.
