Financing & Payment Options — Glisten Dental Studio

At Glisten Dental Studio we understand that dental care sometimes comes with real financial decisions — whether it’s an unexpected emergency, comprehensive treatment, or planned cosmetic work. We offer multiple payment options and financing solutions so cost doesn’t delay treatment you need.

Payment options we accept

  • Dental insurance. We are in-network with most major dental PPO plans: Delta Dental of Arizona, Cigna, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, UnitedHealthcare. See our insurance pages for specific carrier details.
  • AHCCCS (Arizona Medicaid). Adult and pediatric coverage accepted. See our AHCCCS page. Please confirm current network participation when scheduling.
  • Cash, check, debit card, and all major credit cards. No surcharges for credit card payments.
  • Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Most dental treatment qualifies as an HSA/FSA-eligible expense.
  • In-office payment plans. For larger treatments, we offer interest-free payment plans spreading cost across 3-12 months (see details below).
  • CareCredit. Third-party dental financing with promotional 0% interest periods (see details below).
  • Our in-office membership plan. For patients without dental insurance — see our membership plan page.

CareCredit — how it works

CareCredit is a healthcare-specific credit card accepted at dental, medical, vision, and veterinary offices nationwide. Apply online in minutes; approval is typically instant. Once approved, you can use it at any CareCredit-participating provider.

Promotional financing options:

  • 6, 12, 18, or 24-month promotional periods with 0% interest if the balance is paid in full within the promotional period
  • 24, 36, 48, or 60-month reduced-APR periods for larger treatments with fixed monthly payments
  • No prepayment penalty — pay off early without fees
  • Use for any portion not covered by insurance

Important: if the balance is not paid in full during the 0%-promo period, interest is charged retroactively from the original purchase date. Choose a promotional period you’re confident you can meet.

Apply at carecredit.com or call 1-800-677-0718. Mention Glisten Dental Studio at application or bring your approval to the office.

In-office payment plans

For patients who prefer not to use third-party financing, we offer in-office payment plans for treatments over $1,000. Terms:

  • Initial payment of 25-50% at the start of treatment
  • Remaining balance spread across 3-12 months (depending on treatment size)
  • No interest, no finance charges
  • Automatic payment from bank account or credit card on scheduled dates
  • No credit check required

This works well for patients who have stable income but prefer not to use credit cards or CareCredit. Ask our front desk about eligibility when discussing your treatment plan.

Maximizing insurance benefits

Most dental PPO plans have annual maximums ($1,500-$2,500 typical) that reset each calendar year. For patients needing extensive treatment, we can help you sequence work across two benefit years to maximize coverage.

Example: a patient needing $3,000 of treatment could complete half in December of one year and half in January of the next, using two annual maximums instead of one. This approach often reduces out-of-pocket costs by thousands for comprehensive cases.

We verify your specific insurance benefits before treatment and give you a precise out-of-pocket estimate. No surprises at checkout.

HSA and FSA accounts

If your employer offers a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), most dental treatment qualifies as an eligible expense — including:

  • Preventive care (cleanings, exams, X-rays)
  • Restorative treatment (fillings, crowns, root canals)
  • Extractions, including wisdom teeth
  • Dentures, implants, bridges
  • Orthodontics (braces, Invisalign)
  • Dental-medically-necessary procedures

Generally not eligible: purely cosmetic procedures (whitening, veneers for purely aesthetic reasons). Check with your plan administrator for specific eligibility on your plan.

For HSA accounts, you may be able to use your HSA debit card directly at checkout. For FSA accounts, you typically submit receipts for reimbursement.

For patients without insurance

Our in-office membership plan offers substantially discounted rates on preventive and restorative care for patients without dental insurance. See our membership plan page for details including annual fees, included services, and discount rates on additional treatments.

No dental insurance is not a barrier to care at Glisten Dental Studio. We’ll work with you on an approach that fits your budget.

Emergency care financing

For emergencies (see our emergency page), we see patients same-day regardless of insurance or payment status. Treatment decisions are made with you based on clinical need; financial options are discussed after diagnosis so you have a clear picture before starting. CareCredit approval can happen on the phone while you’re driving to the office if needed.

The priority in an emergency is treating the acute problem. Payment planning for anything beyond the immediate emergency can happen after you’re out of pain.

Questions to ask your insurance before treatment

If you have dental insurance, useful questions for your plan’s customer service line:

  • What is my annual maximum and how much have I used this year?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • Is Glisten Dental Studio in-network for my specific plan?
  • What is my coverage percentage for: preventive, basic, major, orthodontic services?
  • Are there waiting periods on major services?
  • What is my missing tooth clause (applies to bridges and implants)?
  • What is my coverage for: [specific procedure your dentist has recommended]?

We do this verification for you when you schedule, but having the answers yourself helps in treatment planning conversations.

Cost transparency commitment

We do not surprise-bill. Before any treatment beyond a routine cleaning, you receive:

  1. A specific written treatment plan listing the procedures recommended
  2. The fee for each procedure
  3. Estimated insurance coverage based on your specific plan
  4. Your estimated out-of-pocket cost
  5. Payment options that apply

You agree to the plan and costs before work begins. If insurance pays less than estimated, we discuss options. If insurance pays more, your out-of-pocket is reduced. Clear math, no ambiguity.

Scheduling and financial consultation

Call 480-331-4955 to schedule or to discuss payment options for specific treatment. If you have questions about CareCredit, our membership plan, or how insurance will apply to a specific procedure, we’re happy to answer before you book. Cost shouldn’t be the reason you put off dental care.
